Ethyl Maltol is widely used for flavoring in the food, beverage, tobacco, and fragrance industry. Very similar in taste to caramelized sugar or cotton candy.
Ethyl Maltol can sweeten/soften sharp flavors in liquid and is very different from sweeteners, it's function is not to sweeten a recipe but to round it up, highlight the flavors and harmonize them.
(may require heating for a few seconds if crystallization occurs)
Dilute in a base of Propylene Glycol (PG) at 5 - 10% (depending on your preferred strength). Once diluted, for best results add between 0.75% to 1.5% or adjust to your preferred taste.
